"ZHP Sparky, the 5th" (e30s2k)

Not sure if worth $12k, but very very nice. My favourite colour combo...but personally I'd opt against the window tint I'd say, let that tan leather glow.

It's really clean though, I'd give it $8,500

Agreed...i'd say $5k for a super clean standard E30, and $3.5k for the DINAN goodies sounds fair enough.

Yeah, I agree with that, it's just a bit overpriced.

Seriously, 12.5k is m3 territory. The paint is good, and the interior is really clean, but I want to drive it, not keep it under glass.

Clean E30s seem to go for around $5k in this area...so I could see $7-8k for this one...super low mileage, extensive maintenance history, rare parts etc. But certainly nothing close to asking price.

I don't think you can really compare E36 M3s - they're just different cars and are rarely cross shopped. I agree, you can easily buy E36 M3s for that price alld ay long...clean E30s like this aren't going to get beat up quite so hard and are more weekend cruisers I'd say - much more extreme example, but it's like cross-shopping a '74 Alfa GTV against a Porsche 997 - yes you can buy both for the same money, but they're different cars.
I could see the right buyer paying $7-8k or so for this (I'd certainly consider it if I had the money...and didn't already have an E30), but agreed - not $12.5

I didn't say e36. I was talking about e30s.

E36 was the only M3 I could imagine in that price range, hence why I assumed that's what you meant.
I haven't seen an E30 M3 going for less than $20k in at least two years - coincidentally saw this one today with pretty high miles and a rebuilt engine, advertised for $38.5k - RIDICULOUS -

Now that E30 M3s are out of reach they are trying to jack up the price of all the clean 325is models. With all the Dinan upgrades it really wouldn't surprise me if he got $12k.

The A/C is not currently working.
No car can be advertised as " MINTY " if the A/C doesn't work.

no 325is is worth that much....

I will give you that you generally would need to spend that much to get one that is decent. The point is that if I was considering spending over $10k on an e30, and I had the choice of buying this car at the asking price or a $25k m3, I would elect to spend the extra money on the m3. The reason being that the m3 and its parts are much more rare and expensive, and getting one that is pristine is much more important than when considering a 325i. A pretty decent 325i can be had for $5k and for the price difference between that and the car listed above, you could pretty much make any car you wanted, be it an all original museum piece or a wild track toy.

I think we're both arguing that this car is CP all the way, just for different reasons. So yeah...the guy is crazy. But I guess we all get attached and biased about a super rare/clean car we might have when it comes to letting it go.

If it's what you want, like every detail of it, NP.
For everyone else, total CP.
As a side note, what's going on with those rims? It's like a Cossie evo's knock off.

Agreed on all accounts. And yeah, the rims...not my cup of tea either, but they're supposedly authentic Borbets...I've never seen a set of that brand I like, but for some reason they're supposedly desirable?

You should see what clean e30s are going for these days. A 150k+ mile late model 2 door, mostly stock with some nice suspension mods and stock bottlecaps just went for $8k out here in NY.
Clean ones are becoming rarer and rarer, this will easily go for more than $10k to the right buyer. Shit, if I was in the market for another e30 I might seriously consider this one. You'll end up spending way more one a lesser cared for one as problems do tend to pop their heads up
